Final Stats

Mike Amico was the MAAC Rookie of the Year last season. If his season-opening performance Saturday is any indication, it appears he is ready to take his game to a new level. Amico blasted Alex DeRienzo 6-1 and 6-2 at top singles and anchored Siena's top doubles victory to lead Siena past the Rams 5-2 in the Bronx Saturday.

Amico had plenty of help. The Saints won four other singles matches, each time prevailing in three sets. Dylan Roberts, Jarrett Siwiec, Peter Collins and Shawn Conroy each dug down and emerged with impressive third set victories.

Ken Fukumoto accounted for Fordham's lone singles win at No. 5 and the Rams won second and third doubles to claim the doubles point.

Last season Fordham defeated Siena in Latham 4-3.

The Saints return to action Thursday at Hartford.
