Saints Check-In Sixth at Keenan Invitational

Four Saints shot sub-80 rounds as Siena Men's Golf stands sixth after the Opening Round of the Leo Keenan Invitational hosted by St. Bonaventure. Siena currently ranks tops amongst the three MAAC schools participating in the event.

Saint Francis (290) placed four golfers in the top-12 to take the clubhouse lead, followed by the host Bonnies (295), Long Island (297), Drexel (300), Humber (300) and the Saints (304). Siena enjoys the lead amongst all MAAC schools, followed distantly by Rider and Niagara.

After shooting just a 38 on the front-nine, Justin Deitz improved on the back end in shooting a 35 to stand tied for eighth overall with a +3 score of 73. Michael Magalski of the Red Flash leads all individuals after recording the only sub-par score of 69 on Sunday.

David Gushee (76), Riley McGraw (77) and Don DeNyse III (78) all shot 36's on the back-nine to conclude a solid first round for the Green and Gold.

Final Round action concludes tomorrow morning in Olean, N.Y.
