The Siena men's tennis team dropped its fourth straight decision Wednesday in Loudonville, losing 7-0 to visiting UConn. The Saints open MAAC play at home against Rider on Saturday.
In singles play, Andrew Marcus topped Mike Amico 6-4 and 6-4 in a competitive match at top singles. Siena's Dylan Roberts fell 6-5 and 6-2 at No. 2 singles to Scott Warden and Jarrett Siwiec lost a close 6-3 and 6-1 match to freshman Ryan Carr at No. 3.
Siena freshman Peter Collins saw his perfect record blemished, dropping a 6-4 and 6-1 decision to Wei Lin at No. 4.
The Huskies won all three doubles matches as well. Siena's doubles team of Rob Cooperman and Siwiec put up the toughest fight at No. 2 doubles before falling 8-7 (7-5).
Siena's first four matches this season all went down to the wire.
