Siena women's golf opened their season Saturday with the first round of the Dartmouth Invitational. After 18 holes, the Saints sit tied for fifth in the 12-team event.

Freshman Mary Fletcher debuted with a bang Saturday, shooting a team-best round of 79. The score, which included a 38 on the back nine, puts Fletcher ninth on the leaderboard, eight shots behind Hartford's Sarah Sideranko, with 18 holes left to play.

Megan Cahill was second-best for the Saints, tying for 17th with a first-round 82. Cortney Tilley, Victoria Nguyen, and Kylie Strijek shot respective scores of 83, 84, and 86, and the team's score of 328 tied for fifth with Hofstra, 25 shots behind the host Big Green.
