After finishing round one 25 shots behind the host Big Green at the Dartmouth Invitational, Siena women's golf stormed up the leaderboard Sunday, finishing second in the 12-team event. The team's day-two score of 310 was the best total by 11 shots, and Siena had three top-10 finishers.
Junior Cortney Tilley led the Green and Gold by finishing seventh after a second-round 75, the best individual round of the day. Tying for that distinction was sophomore Kylie Strijek, whose own 75 put her in sole possession of ninth place. Finally, freshman Victoria Nguyen shot 78 on Sunday, tying for tenth.
Mary Fletcher, whose first-round 79 put her ninth after Saturday's play, finished tied for 12th after a day-two 84. Megan Cahill rounded out the Saints with a tie for 17th. Siena was the only team at the event to place all five entrants in the top 20, and finished just nine shots behind Dartmouth after making up 16 shots on Sunday afternoon.
The Saints return to the course on Saturday at the Princeton Fall Invitational in New Jersey.
