It was the Sean Armond show at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night. The sophomore reserve lit up the World's Most Famous Arena with a MAAC record 10 3-pointers on his way to a career high 32 points, and MAAC preseason favorite Iona blitzed Siena 95-59.

"They drilled the zone," Siena head coach Mitch Buonaguro said after the game. "I have never seen a team shoot that well against our zone."

The Gaels shot 17-39 from distance, falling just one 3-pointer shy of the MAAC team single game mark. Armand made 10-19 himself, and scored the Gaels final 20 points of the first half. Iona took a 57-31 lead to the lockerroom.

The Gaels defeated Siena 94-64 when the two teams met in last year's MAAC Tournament Quarterfinals.

The loss was Siena's worst loss since a 102-58 loss at Memphis exactly four years ago.

OD Anosike registered his nation-leading ninth straight double-double on his 21st birthday for the Saints. Anosike ended with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Evan Hymes led Siena with 22 points.

Three Gaels joined Armand in double figures. Jermel Jenkins had 16 points, Lamont Jones added 14 and Mike Glover had 10.

It was Siena's fourth straight loss at Madison Square Garden, dating back to a 92-79 win over Kansas State in the Third Place game of the 1994 NIT. They last played at MSG on Feb. 4, 2001, falling to Manhattan 56-51.
