Hartford Round One Scores

Siena women's golf used a fantastic round one performance to jump out to a 13-shot lead after Monday's play at the Hartford Invitational. Three Saints finished the first 18 holes in the top five, and Victoria Nguyen led the way with a first-round 73.

Nguyen's one-over-par total is one shot off the individual lead, which is held by Boston University's Kristyna Paulickova. Other Saints close to the lead are Mary Fletcher (who is tied for third after a 76), Kylie Strijek (fifth with a 77), and Cortney Tilley (tied for sixth with a 78).

Siena's first-round total of 304 is well clear of second-place Monmouth (317) and third-place BU (318). This is the final prep for the team, whose next stop will be the MAAC Championships at the end of the month.

Play finishes Tuesday with the tournament's second and final round.
