The second annual Student Athlete Talent Show was held Friday, March 30, at the ARC on the Siena College campus. Members of Siena's 18 Division I athletic teams took to the stage in support of Special Olympics New York, providing fun, laughter, and excitement along the way.
The show was hosted by Siena College assistant athletic director for communications Jason Rich and corporate sales manager Tim Farrell. Judges Greg Dashnaw, Lori Jancik, Fr. Greg Jakubowicz, and Daniel Taylor joined the fun while bantering with the student athletes and providing witty feedback after each act.
Ultimately, women's soccer took home first prize with a show set in the dark. Reigning champion volleyball's dance routine (led by Lesli Akeo's solo) finished second, and softball checked in third with a dance set in darkness and the dancers highlighted by glow sticks.
Photos and a video recap are on display above, and the complete show is available online at Siena All-Access. Proceeds from the event, which included raffles and donations at the door, went to Special Olympics New York.
