LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Kyle Wheeler has been named the Athletics Facility Manager at Siena College. Wheeler's responsibilities will include game day management, facility management, field preparation and Marcelle Athletic Complex membership coordination.

"The department is happy to welcome Kyle back after his successful tenure with the ValleyCats," said Associate Athletic Director for Operations Dennis Bates. "His familiarity with department operations while studying here as an intern will be key to continuing our success."

Wheeler joins the department following a successful two-year stint in a variety of roles with minor league baseball's Tri-City ValleyCats.

While with the ValleyCats, Wheeler served as both a stadium operations assistant and account executive. Based out of nearby Troy, N.Y., the ValleyCats are the Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.

No stranger to Siena Athletics, Wheeler previously completed an internship in the department during the Spring of 2010. He reorganized and assisted in the operations of intramurals program, while also creating marketing materials for Siena Summer Camps, The Dog House store and the annual Gold Rush game.

Wheeler graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Sports Management from Springfield College in May 2010.
