Final Stats

Siena and Hofstra staged a classic tennis match Sunday afternoon, with the Pride coming away with a narrow 4-3 win. Hofstra's Ari Richman topped Dylan Roberts 4-6, 6-3 and 10-7 in a super tiebreaker at No. 1 singles for what proved to be the decisive point.

Siena began the match by sweeping the doubles competitions. Ryan Schmitz and Eric Sumanaru won 9-8 (7-3) over Richman and Adrien Bailey at No. 1 doubles, Mike Amico and Alex Burbine teamed for an 8-4 win at second doubles, and Roberts and Darren Reich won 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.

Hofstra then needed to take four of the six doubles contests to win the match, adn taht's exactly what they did.

In addition to Richman, Joe Ericksen won a 3-6, 6-4 and 10-5 decision over George Parkhurst at No. 5 singles for the Pride. Schmitz and Sumanaru posted singles wins for Siena.
