ALBANY, N.Y. - Capital Region bragging rights are on the line when the 2013-14 season tips off with the annual Albany Cup showdown between the Saints and UAlbany at 5 p.m. at the Times Union Center. Follow all the action by clicking on the Gameday Central links at the top of the page.

Mike Demos and Steve Amedio have the call beginning with pregame coverage at 4:30 p.m. locally on WVCR 88.3 FM "The Saint." You can both watch and listen to the game online exclusively at SienaAllAccess.com.

The Saints and Great Danes meet for the 17th time overall and 11th since the rivalry was rekindled during the 2001-02 season. Siena won six of the first seven Division I matchups, but UAlbany has won the past three meetings.

Tipping off the program's 40th varsity season tonight, the Saints return four starters and 11 letterwinners from last year's team which posted a 13-18 overall record.

UAlbany won last season's Albany Cup 65-48 en route to winning a Division I program record 27 games and went a perfect 16-0 in the America East, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight year.
