Kansas State Takes Down Siena Volleyball in Three

Tournament host Kansas State remained perfect on the season (6-0) with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-20 and 25-15) sweep of Siena Saturday on the final day of play in the K-State Invitational. Siena junior captain Rachel Stoklosa was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Stoklosa led all players with 10 kills in the match.

Kansas State used a 12-2 run to take a big lead in the first set and closed the set on a 6-0 run to post a convincing 25-11 win. Siena hung very tough in the second set, before giving way late in a 25-20 loss, and the Wildcats began the third set with a 10-1 run and never looked back to clinch the match 25-15.

All-American candidate Kaitlynn Pelger killed eight of her 18 attacks with just one error to lead Kansas State.

Taylor Akana had 14 digs for the Saints and Jacqueline Skeen killed four of her 12 swings with just one error in the middle.

Siena has lost five straight 3-0 decisions after winnings its season-opener. The team returns to action Thursday and Friday at the Texas A&M Tournament where they face the host Aggies, Florida State and Michigan.
