Arguably the most competitive women's basketball rivalry in the MAAC, the programs have met in the conference tournament in eight of the past nine seasons and had a number of classic games.

Meeting for the 63rd time, Fairfield (9-6, 4-2) leads the all-time series 34-28. The Stags had won five straight before the Saints (6-9, 1-5) defeated No. 3 seed Fairfield in last season's MAAC Tournament to advance to the semifinals for a second straight year as a No. 6 seed.

Fairfield has won the past four meetings at its on campus facility, Alumni Hall, but the Saints have captured four straight including in the MAAC Tournament here in Bridgeport.
