Final Stats

The Swimming and Diving team returned home for a nightcap at the Siena Swim Center on Friday Night to face-off against Assumption College. The Saints defeated the Greyhounds 168.5 - 125.5.

"We swam really well tonight and it was great to get the win and the team rose to the occasion to finish out some close races, said Coach Paul Kueterman. "The support of one another was tremendous too."

Megan Grace led the Saints for the second consecutive meet winning the 1000-yard and the 500-yard freestyle events for the second straight meet. Grace won the 1000-yard free with a final time of 10:46.37 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:19.44.

Shannon Love joined Grace as she won two of her events on Friday night. Love narrowly beat out teammate Dana Tricarico for the win in the 50-yard free finishing .01 seconds ahead of Tricarico. Love followed up with her second win in the 100-yard free, winning with a final time of 56.28 seconds.

The team welcomed back Hailey Beers as she saw her first action of the season on Friday night. Beers did not disappoint as she dominated the field, winning both the one-meter and the three-meter diving events. Beers scored a 230.10 in the one-meter and 230.15 in the three-meter.

Rounding out the wins for the Saints, Jacque Medina, winning the 200-yard Free in a time of 1:58.94. Kat Canavan won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:15.82 and captain Amanda York found victory in the 100-yard Butterfly.

There is no time to waste, the swimming and diving Saints are back home tomorrow afternoon for a quick turnaround against Saint Francis at the Siena Swim Center at 1:00 p.m
