Women's Basketball's Logan Out For Season

Oct. 16, 2014

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball sophomore guard Brianna Logan (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley) will miss the Saints' upcoming 2014-15 season. Logan suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee during the Saints' first official practice last Thursday that will require season-ending surgery.

"Bri Logan was our most improved player coming out of the summer and into fall workouts," said head coach Ali Jaques. "My heart absolutely breaks for her. She had done everything and more to position herself for a fantastic sophomore year. I cannot explain why, but I am confident that this young woman will come back even stronger when she gets through this. She is a fighter, and our team will be resilient and continue to fight and find a way."

Logan appeared in 30 of the Saints' 31 games last season, averaging 4.0 points in 19.1 minutes and ranked second on the team with 57 assists. She was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Dec. 16.

The Saints tip off the 2014-15 season on Fri., Nov. 14 at Buffalo.
