Siena (5-4) enters play riding back-to-back road wins just prior to the holiday break at Sacred Heart and Binghamton. Colgate (1-9) meanwhile has struggled out of the gate and is coming off of a heartbreaking one-point home loss last Sunday against Kent State.

Here's 10 things to know about today's game
.) Today's game marks the start of a three-game homestand for the Saints, tying for the team's longest of the season (Jan. 24-30)
.) After a nine-day holiday break, Siena enters its busiest week of the year. The Saints will play four games over the next seven days beginning with Colgate today, the non-conference finale against Fairleigh Dickinson Tuesday at the ARC and then the resumption of MAAC play this weekend with a home date against Marist (Friday) and at Saint Peter's (Sunday).
.) A win today would give the Saints their second three-game winning streak of the season. Siena opened the season with three consecutive wins in achieving the program's first 3-0 start in 21 years.
.) Siena will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak at Times Union Center today. The Saints are 29-20 (.592) all-time in regular season action in this facility and 37-32 (.536) overall.
.) Freshman forward Margot Hetzke was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time in the first six weeks Monday. Through Thursday, Hetzke ranks 10th nationally in freshman scoring averaging 15.2 points per game.
.) Senior captain Tehresa Coles has vaulted to third nationally in steals per game (3.78). Coles, who has led the MAAC in steals in each of the past two seasons, swiped 11 steals in two games last week, including her sixth career six-steal game which tied a career-high in last Wednesday's win at Sacred Heart.
.) Siena leads the MAAC in field goal percentage (.413), rebound margin (+7.3 - 46th nationally) and offensive rebounding (15.0). The Saints have increased their shooting percentage by six percent since last year when they ranked 16th worst nationally in field goal percentage (.354) after ranking 11th worst in 2012-13 (.335).
.) The Saints are averaging 67.0 points through their first nine games. It marks Siena's highest scoring average through the first nine games since the Saints' MAAC Championship season of 2000-01 (77.3).
.) Siena has dominated the all-time series with Colgate, holding a 14-2 all-time advantage. The Saints have won seven in a row overall in the series and are a perfect 9-0 at home. The programs are meeting for just the second time (2010) in 23 years after having met 15 times from 1981-90.
.) Colgate is predicted to finish eighth (10 teams) according to the Patriot League Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Red Raiders return two starters and nine letterwinners from last year's team which posted an 8-22 overall record and finished ninth in the Patriot League with a 4-14 conference mark.
