Ofir Solomon and Ian Tesmond posted convincing straight set wins at the top two singles spots, leading the way for Fairfield 7-0 sweep of Siena Saturday at Michigan Avenue Park in Schenectady. Matthew Funiciello and Joseph Holm teamed up for an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles for the Saints.
The Stags won two of the three doubles matches to claim the doubles point and then swept singles play. Cameron Amyot needed a super-tiebreaker to topple Siena's Eric Sumanaru in the tightest match of the day at No. 4 singles.
The Saints round out their home schedule with a Senior Day match against Saint Francis at noon tomorrow.
