Derek Coleman has been hired as the new athletic communications intern and multimedia coordinator at Siena College.

Coleman will handle the day-to-day athletic video operations for Siena's athletic communications department. His primary responsibilities will include live-streaming and producing highlight packages for Siena sporting events. He will also serve as the primary communications representative for the Saints' field hockey, women's swimming and diving, water polo, softball and men's and women's golf programs.

Coleman, a 2013 University of Delaware graduate, was a member of the Blue Hens' football team and worked as a multimedia assistant with the athletic department as a junior and senior. He served as co-producer for Hens Sports Night, a sports talk show that aired on Delaware's campus network.

"I am excited to be working in collegiate athletics communications again," said Coleman. "Siena College athletics is coming off of a great 2013-14 season and I look forward to being a part of their continuing success."
