Siena Men's Golf is currently in 11th place after the first two rounds of the Cornell Invitational, Saturday. Michael Shine and Michael Christifulli are both currently in the top 10.

After finishing the first round in eighth place the Saints slid three spots after shooting only two strokes higher in the second round. Shine is currently tied for eighth place after finishing the first round tied for 15th. Christifulli is only one stroke behind him, finishing the second round tied for 10th after dropping five strokes off of his first round score.

Only nine strokes separate the fourth through 11th team spots, with Dartmouth leading the way after the first day of play. Siena is currently three strokes behind Canisius, the only other MAAC school participating. Shine and Christifulli are currently the second and third MAAC individuals, with Andrew Romano from Canisius leading the way among MAAC competitors.

Last year the Saints finished the Cornell Invitational tied for ninth. Shine finished ninth as well in the rain-affected event. The Saints will look to gain ground as they continue play tomorrow, shotgun tee times are set to begin at 8 am.
