Sept. 21, 2014 Just two weeks after teammate Spencer Sautin finished tied for fifth in the Colgate Invitational, Michael Shine finished tied for fifth in the Cornell Invitational. Siena Men's Golf finished the invitational 11th, the same spot they held after the second round.
Shine moved three spots up the leaderboard Sunday, finishing as the top individual among MAAC competitors. Michael Christifulli who was tied for 10th after round two slid down the leaderboard, but was still able to finish tied for 17th. No other Saints finished in the top-50.
The Saints as a team were able to drop one shot off of their second round score, but did not make any movements on the team leaderboard. They finished ahead of the only other MAAC school participating, as Canisius finished 13th. Dartmouth took the top overall team spot, with Blake Carter from Longwood taking the top individual spot.
The Saints have almost a month off, as they begin the final stretch of the fall season October 13th in the Connecticut Cup golf tournament.
