LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball rings in the New Year when the Saints host nine-time defending MAAC Champion Marist at 7 p.m. at the ARC. The game will be televised throughout New York on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
Mike Demos and Andrew Santillo have the call of the game on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, which is available in HD on channel 323 across New York state exclusively to Time Warner Cable customers and can also be viewed in the Capital Region on channel 50.
Both teams enter the New Year surging. Winners of four straight, Siena (7-4, 0-2) rides its longest winning streak in four years into tonight's matchup. The Saints completed non-conference play with a 72-63 win over Fairleigh Dickinson Tuesday, to finish with the program's best non-conference record (7-2) in 21 years.
Marist (6-5, 2-0) meanwhile completed a perfect December, posting an unblemished 5-0 record in playing all of their games within the friendly confines of McCann Arena. The Red Foxes enter this evening's tilt having won 86 of their past 89 MAAC games including conference tournament play.
The Red Foxes have won the past 22 meetings in the series including 10 straight in the Capital Region as Siena is in search of its first win over Marist since Dec. 3, 2004.

Here's 10 things to know about today's game
1.) Siena enters the New Year riding a four-game winning streak. The Saints' winning streak is the program's longest since winning six in a row from Dec. 30, 2010 - Jan. 14, 2011.
2.) Siena finished non-conference play with an impressive 7-2 record. Siena's seven wins tied for the most (2002-03) since posting an 8-3 record in non-conference play during the 1994-95 season and the Saints' .779 non-conference winning percentage was the program's best since posting a 10-2 (.833) mark during the 1993-94 season.
3.) Siena leads the MAAC in field goal percentage (.426), rebound margin (+6.8 - 50th nationally) and offensive rebounding (14.9)
4.) The Saints have increased their shooting percentage by better than seven percent from last year. Siena ranked 16th worst nationally in field goal percentage last year (.354) and 11th worst in 2012-13 (.335). The Saints' current field goal percentage is the program's highest since shooting at a .431 clip during the 2007-08 season.
5.) Siena has out-rebounded its opponents in 12 of its last 13 games (one tie) dating back to last year, holding a +7.5 margin over that time
6.) Siena has MADE 29 more free throws (204) than its opponents have ATTEMPTED (175) and ranks fourth nationally averaging 27.2 free throw attempts
7.) The Saints are averaging 68.6 points including six 70+ point games. It marks Siena's highest scoring average through its first 11 games since the Saints' MAAC Championship season of 2000-01 (77.2).
8.) Senior guard Ida Krogh has scored 45 points and dished out 10 assists in the first two games of Siena's three-game homestand. A large chunk of her damage has come from the free throw line where she has made 24-27 (.889) over the past two games.
9.) This will be the 60th all-time meeting between the I-87 rivals, with Marist now holding a 30-29 all-time advantage. The Red Foxes have won the past 22 meetings, with 21 coming by double figures and by an average of 19.2 points.
10.) Marist has won at least a share of 11 straight MAAC Regular Season titles and captured nine consecutive MAAC Tournament titles. The Red Foxes have won 20+ games each of the past 11 years and 15+ MAAC games each of the last 10 years.
