Siena Swimming and Diving opened their 2015-16 schedule Saturday afternoon with a 171-115 win over visiting Assumption. The Saints captured 12 of the 16 events en route to the victory.

Siena started the afternoon off on the right foot when the relay team of Theresa Cotter, Emma Rupert, Julianna Sebastian and Francesca Tinucci won the 400-medley relay after swimming a time of 4:04.67. Maggie Davenport won the 50 free with a time of 25.58 and 100 free with a time of 55.37.

Senior Hailey Beers swept the diving events scoring a 226.90 in the 1-meter and 257.25 in the 3-meter dive. Erica Askew and Tinucci also captured two events apiece for Siena. Seven different Saints won events on the afternoon to help keep Siena in front.

The Saints return to action Fri. Oct. 16 when they travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to compete in the Catholic Invite.
