Final Stats

The Robert Morris Colonials used four fourth quarter goals to break an 8-8 tie and hold of Siena Men's Lacrosse 12-10 Saturday. Chris Robertson and Conor Prunty both had three points each in the loss.

A back and forth game throughout, the Saints (3-3) jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter on a Jon-Michael Tokar goal with 2:47 remaining in the quarter. The Colonials (1-4) would answer with five seconds remaining in the quarter cutting the lead to one.

After Robert Morris tied the game at three to open second quarter the teams exchanged goals and entered halftime tied at five. Robertson and Nate Barry scored in the quarter for the Saints, with Prunty picking up his lone assist of the game on the Robertson goal.

Prunty would kick-start the second half scoring, finding the back of the net a little over a minute into the third to pull Siena ahead. The Colonials would score three of the next four goals before Ryan Mallon tied the game at eight with 6:51 remaining in the quarter.

Robert Morris' Eric Rankel would score three consecutive goals to open the fourth and by the 6:23 mark the Colonials held an 11-8 lead. With 1:56 remaining Robertson scored his second goal of the game, followed by a Prunty goal less than 30 seconds later as the Saints pulled to within one. James Rahe would put the game away for good though, scoring with 20 seconds left to give Robert Morris a 12-10 victory.

The loss snaps the Saints' three game winning streak and evens their record at 3-3. Siena holds their conference home opener Saturday, hosting Quinnipiac at 1 p.m. at Siena Turf Field.
