Final Stats

Siena freshman Evan Nierman earned his first collegiate singles victory with a 6-3 and 6-2 victory over Harris Durkovic at No. 6 singles in Siena's 5-2 season-opening loss to Fordham Saturday in Watervliet. Nierman also teamed with transfer Jace Koretz for a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point for the Saints.

Fordham (1-0) won the top five singles matches to take the match. Cameron Posillico topped Alexander Reed 3-6, 7-6 and 6-4 at No. 2 singles in a hotly contested match. Koretz also battled in a 6-4, 7-5 loss at No. 5 singles for Siena (0-1).

The Saints are back in action Sunday at Wagner.
