Final Stats

Siena Men's Tennis team suffered their first loss of the season when they fell 5-2 to St. Francis (Brooklyn). The Saints won the doubles point and one singles point.

The team started strong winning two out of three doubles to take a 1-0 lead. Geovanny Mendoza and Alessandro Saglia picked up a 6-1 victory on court two. Diego Lebron and Peter Galante won on court three 6-0. Siena entered singles with a 1-0 lead.

In singles things changed quickly as the only win the Saints were able to get was Freshman Mendoza who won in straight sets at three singles. Mendoza won 6-2,6-2. Saglia came out on court two with a 6-4 victory in the first set but fell 6-1, 6-2 for St. Francis (Brooklyn) to take the point. On court one, Cameron Kirkwood lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Jace Koretz fell on court four 6-1, 6-2. On court five and six both Lebron and Alexandros Giannakitisidis fell in straight sets.

This will conclude the fall season for the team. Three players will play in the ITA tournament in two weeks on Thursday, Oct. 20th.
