LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Swimming dropped a home contest on Saturday afternoon to visiting Vermont 155-96. Emma Rupert picked up 15 points in three individual events for the Saints.
Siena started the meet with a third place finish (1:55.75) in the 200 medley relay with a team of Fiona Dretzka, Larissa Nanna, Elizabeth Fournier, and Rachel Brown.
Rupert recorded a second place finish (11:02.67) in the next event, the 1000 free, for the Saints. Teammate Caroline Powell finished in sixth.
Brown added a second place finish (1:59.06) in the 200 freestyle. Carrie Bonvissuto placed fifth in the race. Brown picked up five more points with her third place finish (25.94) in the 50 freestyle and her fourth place (56.06) in the 100 freestyle.
The Saints recorded third place finishes in the 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke. Dretzka was third in the backstroke while Erica Askew placed third in the breaststroke.
Dretzka and Maggie Fletcher recorded second and third place scoring in the 200 backstroke. Askew, Nanna, and Rupert combined for nine points in the 200 breaststroke.
The Saints ended the meet with Rupert securing the nine first place points in the 400IM and the 200 freestyle relay scoring 11 points with a team of Fletcher, Dretzka, Alyssa Lewis, and Colleen McDonough.
Siena will return to the Siena Swim Center on Saturday, November 12 to host Merrimack in their last home meet of 2016.
