LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Volleyball picked up their 30th win over Saint Peter's and have now won 24 straight against the Peacocks. Siena won 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19).
Siena started the match off strong with a 12-8 lead. The Saints continued to hold the advantage. Behind the serving of Sonja Vasovic, Siena took a 16-11 lead. The Saints continued to keep the Peacocks at bay and took the first set 25-19.
Siena went on a 7-1 run to start the second set. The Saints continued to knock down kills and went up 18-13. Siena went on a 5-0 run behind the serving of Bobbi Lin Kalama to take a big 23-13 lead. The Saints continued to hold the lead and took the second set 25-15.
The green and gold wanted to close out the match, but St. Peter's started off strong. Behind the serving of Haley Howell, Siena went on a 6-0 run to take a 15-11. The Peacocks continued to hold on and keep the set close. The Saints fought hard and took the third and final set 25-19.
Briana Flagg led the match with 15 kills and a .438 attack percentage. Flagg only recorded one error. She tallied two service aces. Bobbi Lin Kalama notched a double-double with 14 assists and 14 digs. Kalehua Katagiri recorded 12 digs. Haley Howell tallied 20 assists in the victory.
Saints host Rider on Sunday, Oct. 9 for the final match of their homestand. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
