Three Field Hockey Players Receive All-MAAC Academic Honors

Nov. 2, 2017

Three field hockey players were honored Thursday evening receiving All-MAAC Academic Honors.

A total of 61 student-athletes were named to the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Field Hockey All-Academic team. In order to be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Saints senior Molly Hagen, junior Katelyn McMahon, and sophomore Brianna Muniz all qualified to be on the All-MAAC Academic Team.

This was Hagen's third time receiving the award, McMahon's second, and Muniz's first time being honored.

The Saints will return three of their top four scorers next season, Stephanie Hand, Muniz and Fariyah Omarshah. Siena finished the season sixth in the MAAC.
