Siena Men's Golf finished 13th of 14 teams at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Saints shot a near identical final round score of 320, after carding rounds of 320 and 318 over the first 36 holes of action on Pinehurst No. 8 Friday.
Ball State captured the team championship, defeating challengers Elon and Old Dominion by seven strokes. William Harwood of the Phoenix won the individual title with rounds of 73, 72 and 71.
Jake Holt led the Saints Saturday, firing a final round score of 76. The freshman was the lone Siena golfer to card three consecutive sub-80 rounds as he finished tied for 25th overall. Holt paced the Saints with 33 pars over the 54-hole tournament, while junior Michael Christifulli led Siena with five birdies.
The Saints return to action for the Villanova Invitational Mar. 27-28 in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
