Siena (2-2) makes its Times Union Center debut following an encouraging performance in the season-opening Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off. The Saints split their first four games under new head coach Jamion Christian, defeating A-10 foe George Washington in the nation's capital, before emerging victorious over Norfolk State at Mohegan Sun Arena to advance to the Springfield Bracket Championship Game. Siena returns home ranked third nationally in fewest fouls (11.3), 16th in turnovers (9.8), and 43rd in threes (10.3). The Saints are an impressive 31-11 (.738) in home openers during the program's Division I era, and Christian posted a stellar 60-19 (.759) overall home record spanning the previous six seasons leading Mount St. Mary's.

Lehigh (3-1) presents an immediate challenge for Siena to tip off its 2018-19 home slate. The Patriot League preseason favorites have won 11 of their last 12 regular season games dating back to last season, with their only loss coming on the road at ACC opponent Miami two weeks ago. The Mountain Hawks boast Preseason All-Patriot League selection Lance Tejada, who leads a squad which enters the matchup ranked 22nd nationally in field goal percentage defense (.353) and 45th in rebounding margin (+9.0).
