Siena Men's Tennis was topped 4-3 in a league match against Niagara on Saturday evening. The Saints took three singles courts in the loss.
Guillermo Lopez-Torres and Alessandro Saglia took the win 6-2 at doubles one leaving it up to two and three to come through and push Siena ahead. However, Niagara was able to gain the advantage following a 6-4 victory at both doubles two and three to lead 1-0 heading into singles.
Sagar Bains tied it up winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 at singles two. The Purple Eagles then won at singles five in straight sets to lead 2-1. Lopez Torres came out on top in a three-set victory 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 at singles one to tie the match at two.
Geovanny Mendoza fell at singles four followed by a three-set loss at singles three to give the Purple Eagles the match. Matt Bellino won at singles six in three sets, but it would be just off of taking the victory from Siena's league foe.
Siena will take on St. Bonaventure on the road on Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m
