Siena Men's Golf stands 12th through the first 18 holes of competition at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate contested on Pinehurst No. 8 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Senior Michael Christifulli and junior Jack Bellardini pace the Saints after carding Opening Round scores of 80.

Ball State holds the clubhouse lead in the 14-team event following the opening 18 holes of action by one stroke over nearest challenger Dayton. Siena fired a First Round score of 325.

Ball State's Michael VanDeventer was the only individual to shoot an even par 71 on Friday, to hold a one stroke lead over five others. Christifulli recorded a team-best 12 pars while also birdieing No. 4, while Bellardini achieved seven pars to go along with a birdie of 14. Competition continues Saturday at 8:15 a.m. with a double tee start.
