Final Stats

Siena Men's Tennis was swept 7-0 on Friday evening by Hofstra at TriCity in Latham, New York. The Saints honored seniors Peter Galante, Diego Lebron and Alessandro Saglia before the match.

Hofstra started off quickly taking all three doubles courts to lead 1-0. Sagar Bains and Guillermo Lopez Torres fell 6-1 at doubles one, while Matt Bellino and Muhammad Raza Sawani fell 6-2 at doubles two when the Pride clinched the doubles point.

Bellino put up a fight at singles five after falling in the first set 6-1, he came back and took the second set 7-6 (5) forcing a tiebreaking third set. Bellino would fall 10-5 in the third set. Lopez Torres battled at singles one almost forcing a tiebreaker but fell in the second set 7-6 (4). Hofstra swept the four other singles courts in straight sets.

Siena will hit the road and take on St. John's on Saturday, March 10 at 4 p.m.
