Siena Men's Tennis fell 7-0 to reigning MAAC Champions Monmouth on Saturday morning in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The Saints fell to 2-3 in league play.
Monmouth starting the match off quickly winning doubles two and three 6-1 each. While Monmouth had already clinched the doubles point, the Saints fought hard at doubles one. Guillermo Lopez Torres and Alessandro Saglia ultimately fell 6-4 at doubles one.
The Hawks took all six singles courts in straight sets to complete the sweep. Muhammad Raza Sawani fought hard at singles three but fell 6-4, 6-2. Geovanny Mendoza fell 6-3, 6-2 at singles four in the Saints loss. Monmouth completed the victory 7-0.
Siena will host league rival Marist on Sunday, April 15 at TriCity in Latham, New York. First serve is set for 8 p.m.
