The Big Red hold a three-shot advantage over a trio of teams currently tied for second in a tightly contested field. Siena shot a team score of 308 on the opening day of the event.

Jared Nelson paces the Saints following a +3 round of 75. Nelson is tied for 15
th overall with five others, and is six strokes in back of co-clubhouse leaders Evan Quinn of Princeton and Drew Powell of Brown who both fired rounds of 69.
Jack Brown and
Jack Bellardini each shot 77 to round out Siena's First Round leaders, with Brown's 12 pars over the opening 18 holes tying for ninth most in the field.
