Here's Ten Things to Know About Tonight's Game
.) Siena (5-10, 0-2) returns to the road for its lone game away from home during a four-game stretch. The Saints have already won three games away from home this season, including a pair of true road victories.
.) The Saints are looking to snap an 11-game conference road losing streak dating back to an 84-77 win at Marist on Feb. 11, 2017
.) Freshman phenom Jalen Pickett was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week for a conference-leading fourth time on Monday. Pickett is tied with Evan Hymes (2011-12) for the most MAAC Rookie of the Week awards by a Siena freshman since Edwin Ubiles won the award five times during the 2006-07 season.
.) Pickett currently leads the MAAC and ranks fifth nationally in assists (7.3) and 36th in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.97)
.) Evan Fisher is averaging 19.8 points and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 58% from the floor over his past eight games
.) Siena is looking to bounce back from a hard-fought, 70-66 loss vs. defending MAAC Regular Season Co-Champion Canisius Saturday. Fisher (21 points, career-high 17 rebounds) and Pickett (14 points, 11 assists) both posted double-doubles in the loss.
.) Siena continues to rank in the top-10 nationally in both fewest fouls per game (13.7 - fifth) and fewest turnovers per game (10.0 - eighth), after ranking in the bottom-50 nationally in both categories last season
.) The seven non-conference opponents that Siena lost to currently possess a combined 70-38 (.648) overall record. Six of the seven teams currently possess winning records.
.) Siena leads the all-time series with Marist (6-8, 1-1) 55-27. The Saints have won 19 of the past 24 meetings overall.
.) Marist was projected to finish sixth according to the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, despite finishing tied for last place last season. The Red Foxes are under the direction of former Siena assistant John Dunne (1999-01), who spent the previous 12 years as the head coach at fellow MAAC school Saint Peter's. Marist has already matched its win total from all of last season.
