Tonight's game is also the first of four Siena Basketball Slam Dunkin' games this season. Jalen Pickett, who have combined to account for 68% of the team's assists, 45% of the scoring, and 37% of the rebounding so far this season. Fisher is averaging 20.1 points and 7.8 rebounds over his past nine games highlighted by four consecutive 20-plus point performances, while Pickett ranks fifth nationally - and second amongst all Division I freshmen - averaging 7.4 assists per game.
Monmouth (3-14, 2-2) has bounced back to win three of five after having opened the season with 12 consecutive defeats. The Hawks conclude a grueling stretch tonight of playing three games in five days, which commenced with a double overtime defeat at Quinnipiac Thursday.
Monmouth leads the all-time series 10-4, and has won nine of 11 matchups against Siena since joining the MAAC in 2013-14. New Siena Head Coach Jamion Christian was a perfect 2-0 leading his former school Mount St. Mary's against the Hawks back when they were in the Northeast Conference.
