BETHLEHEM, PA – Siena Men's Golf tied its 18-hole score from Friday to conclude both the Lehigh Invitational and its 2019 Fall season at the Saucon Valley Country Club Saturday afternoon. The Saints shot a pair of 308's to finish tied with Bucknell for sixth place at +40, 616.
Holy Cross (+16, 592) took the top spot in the 14-team field, while MAAC opponents Rider (third), Iona (fourth) and Monmouth (11th) also participated.
The Saints' best performance of the round came from freshman Jack Tobin, who shot the team's third eagle of the year en-route to a +1, 73, moving him into a tie for 16th. Classmate Moritz Weigold birdied four times en-route to the same 36-hole score, shooting +5, 77 on the second day.
Freshman Nolan Crowley birdied the sixth hole of the day to finish at +6, 78 on the par-72, 7091-yard course, landing in a tie for 26th individually. Rounding out the team's five-man competition squad were junior captains Jack Brown and Pudge Williams, who shot +9, 81 and +8, 80, respectively to wrap the weekend in a tie for 42nd and a split for 49th.
Following the conclusion of its fifth and final event of the Fall 2019 season, Siena Men's Golf will now enter an offseason of nearly five months before picking up play at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in March 2020.
