Siena Basketball Broadcast Schedule Announced

Follow the Saints All Season Long in Their Marches Towards MAAC Championships

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Basketball fans will be able to follow the Saints this winter like never before, thanks in large part to all 27 men's and women's basketball home games being broadcast on the ESPN Family of Networks. Additionally, up to 12 men's basketball home games will be televised locally in the Capital Region on My4 Albany.

Siena is set to produce all men's and women's basketball home games this season for the first time on the ESPN Family of Networks. The athletic department debuted the brand new Frank '85 and Sheila Ambrose Media Center at the start of this school year with seven fall sports ESPN broadcasts, and the roughly half million dollar production studio will generate the majority of men's and women's basketball broadcasts this winter.

Nine men's basketball home games will be broadcast on ESPN3, with the five others airing on ESPN+. However, the Saints' home contests vs. Fairfield (Feb. 7) and Rider (Feb. 14), could be flexed from ESPN3 to ESPNU as MAAC Wildcard games. ESPNU is available to Spectrum subscribers in the Capital Region on Channel 370, as well as on DirecTV Channel 208 and DISH Network Channel 141.

All 13 women's basketball home games will be broadcast through the Ambrose Media Center on ESPN3. A.J. Kanell and Tehresa Coles '15 will serve as the primary ESPN broadcast talent for women's games.

Additionally, all Siena men's and women's basketball MAAC road games will be broadcast on either ESPN3 or ESPN+ this winter as part of the conference's initiative tasking all 11 schools to complete production facilities capable of delivering live event streams to the ESPN Family of Networks by the 2019-20 school year.

ESPN3 is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The network is currently available at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider. The network is also available at no cost to U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel on computers connected to on-campus educational networks and on-base military networks.

ESPN+ offers fans thousands of additional live events, on-demand content and original programming not available on ESPN's linear TV or digital networks. This includes hundreds of MLB, NHL and MLS games, Grand Slam tennis, Top Rank boxing, PGA Tour golf, college sports, international rugby, cricket, the full library of ESPN Films (including 30 for 30) and more. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ for just $4.99 a month (or $49.99 per year) and cancel at any time.

The men's final 12 home games – beginning with the Saints' matchup vs. Bucknell on Dec. 21 – will be simulcast locally in the Capital Region by WNYT/WNYA on My4 Albany, which is available to Spectrum subscribers in the Capital Region on Channel 4. The agreement was negotiated by Siena Athletics multimedia rights holder Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment.

Robert Lee and Kelly O'Donnell will serve as the primary broadcast talent for Siena Men's Basketball games airing on the ESPN Family of Networks and My4 Albany.

All Siena Men's Basketball games during the 2019-20 season can once again be listened to locally in the Capital Region on Talk 1300 – WGDJ, which is available on both 1300 AM and 98.7 FM. Kanell returns for his fourth season as the play-by-play radio voice of the Saints, and will be joined once again by analysts Andy Grazulis '92 and Conner Fenlon '12. Coverage of all Siena Men's Basketball games on Talk1300 commences 30 minutes prior to tipoff with the pregame show.

All Siena Women's Basketball games will continue to be broadcast on the radio by Siena College's campus radio station 88.3 "The Saint," which is available locally on WVCR 88.3 FM. Joe Mixie returns for his second season behind the mic alongside Steve Amedio, with pregame coverage beginning 30 minutes before tip. WVCR also serves as the home for the Siena Basketball Coaches' Show which airs weekly on Thursdays from 6-7 PM during the season, and features interviews and insight from coaches Carmen Maciariello and Ali Jaques as well as student athletes.
