Saints Conclude Long Road Trip in California Saturday Night

Season Long Four-Game Road Trip Concludes at Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - Siena Basketball concludes its season long four-game road trip late Saturday night when the Saints take on Cal Poly at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) at the Mott Athletics Center. Gameday Central coverage commences with the Siena Basketball Pregame Show at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT) in the Capital Region on Talk1300 AM and 98.7 FM.

Siena (2-4) returns to action for the first time in a week and continues its stretch of playing just four games over a 36-day span with its longest road trip in five years. The Saints return to California for the first time since their 61-57 victory over Fresno State on Mar. 31, 2014 in the opening game of the College Basketball Invitational Championship Series en route to capturing the 2014 CBI Championship. Siena will look to snap a three-game losing streak to conclude its road trip before returning back east to embark upon the first of two season long four-game homestands starting Dec. 21 vs. Bucknell.

Cal Poly (1-7) is set to play just its second home tilt in nine games to open the season, and first since defeating NAIA foe Simpson (CA) on Nov. 15. The Mustangs have since lost five straight, while allowing 79 or more points in each contest. Cal Poly leads the Big West and ranks 41st nationally shooting 38.2% from three-point range.

Siena and Cal Poly are meeting for the second straight season - and second time ever - to conclude a home-and-home series. The Saints defeated the Mustangs 75-54 on last Dec. 29 at the Times Union Center. Siena connected for 14 threes and shot 51% overall from the field, while receiving 26 points from Evan Fisher and 16 points and 11 assists from Jalen Pickett. Mark Crowe (15 points) and Hank Hollingsworth (12) combined to score 27 points on 11-12 shooting for Cal Poly.

Saturday's game will be webstreamed online via Big West TV, which is accessible by clicking the corresponding link. Pregame coverage commences at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT) on Talk1300 AM and 98.7 FM with A.J. Kanell and Conner Fenlon '12 on the call. Complimentary online audio of the broadcast can also be accessed by clicking the corresponding link at the top of the page.
