ALBANY, NY - Surging Siena Basketball opens a season long four-game homestand and looks to complete the regular season series sweep of three-time defending MAAC Tournament Champion and archrival Iona at 7 p.m. at the Times Union Center. The game, which is presented by both UA Local 7 as well as Teal, Becker, and Chiaramonte, will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Tonight's game is also the third of four Siena Basketball Slam Dunkin' games this season. The final Siena Basketball Slam' Dunkin games is set for Feb. 19 vs. Saint Peter's. Vouchers are also good for FREE admission to any Siena Women's Basketball regular season home game on campus at the Alumni Recreation Center. The Siena Basketball Slam Dunkin' offer is valid on select seat locations only for men's and women's basketball games.

Riding a four-game winning streak and winners of seven of their last eight overall, red-hot Siena (13-12, 8-4) enters tonight's game situated in a three-way tie for second place in the MAAC Standings with both idle Canisius and Quinnipiac. With a win tonight, the Saints would move into a tie for first place with current frontrunner Monmouth. Siena stands just a half game back of the first-place Hawks with six regular season contests remaining. A victory this evening would also match the program's longest winning streak since winning a program Division I record 15 straight from Dec. 23, 2009 - Feb. 8, 2010.

Iona (8-15, 6-6) snapped a four-game losing streak with a critical 79-76 win over Niagara Sunday afternoon in New Rochelle. The Gaels feature the MAAC's top scoring offense (78.0), but enter tonight's matchup having dropped nine of 10 road games so far this season.

Siena has played Iona more times than any other opponent, as the program's prepare to meet for the 115th time this evening. The Gaels hold a 63-51 advantage, and have won 15 of the past 20 meetings. However, the Saints secured their third win in four years at the Hynes Athletics Center with a 56-54 triumph just 11 days ago. Siena went on a decisive 15-0 run late as the Saints held the potent Iona offense to its lowest point total in 30 games dating back to last season.
