Siena looks to improve upon a 3-9 overall season in 2018. With Gleason taking the helm as the 10th head coach in the program's history, this will also be his first Division I head coaching stop. In 10 seasons in the Division I coaching ranks as an assistant at both Siena and UAlbany, Gleason's teams have made seven NCAA Tournament appearances, won six conference tournament championships, and captured eight regular season titles. Overall, his squads have posted a combined 123-52 (.703) record including a 56-7 (.889) mark in conference action.

The Green and Gold return two of their four goal scorers from a year ago in seniors Mike Reilly and Keenan Cook. Sophomore Nike Pepe was named Preseason All-MAAC Long Stick Midfielder, as he looks to build of a solid freshman campaign.

Siena gets their 2019 campaign off the ground at home, playing seven of their 13 total games at home in Loudonville. After Hobart, the Saints will hit the road to face UMass Lowell and Fairfield before hosting three home games in a row starting March 9.

Siena and Hobart will be facing off for the 8th time in the program's history, as the Saints defeated the Statesmen in last year's season opener by a final of 12-11. However, overall the Statesmen own the series with a 4-3 advantage over the Green and Gold.
