LATHAM, N.Y. - The Siena Saints women's tennis team had almost a three week break headed into Friday's home match against Sacred Heart at Tri-City Fitness. The Green and Gold flexed their muscles, as the Saints topped the Pioneers by a final score of 6-1.
In doubles, Sacred Heart won two of the three doubles courts to take the first point. However, Siena came back to take all six singles courts to win match.
Nanea Perkins has a marathon match to win 17-15 in a 3rd set breaker, and freshman
Laura Becker clinched the match at 5 singles.
"After a very rough start in doubles, the girls regrouped to play some good tennis in singles," said head coach
Jeff Osborn. "We need to work on our doubles in the next month, but we will be ready for MAAC's next month."
