Siena Men's Golf sophomore Jack Brown shot +2, 74 in the second round of the 17th Annual Abarta Coca Cola Collegiate Invitational in Hellertown, PA to lead the team in individual performances Monday afternoon. Overall, the Saints took 16th place overall, going +42, 618 at the 36-hole event.

With day two's start time being moved back one hour due to temperatures in the high 30's, three members of the Green and Gold notched multiple birdies on the par-72, 6655-yard course at the Silver Creek Country Club. The performance helped the team post a six-stroke improvement from the first round, shooting +18, 306 for its best 18 and 36-hole showings for the Spring 2019 season thus far.

Overall, Robert Morris (+9, 585) took home the team trophy, edging host Lafayette (+13, 589) by four strokes. MAAC opponents Iona (+15, 592) and St. Peter's (+24, 600) each posted top-10 finishes, while Monmouth (+49, 625), Canisius (+57, 633) and Niagara (+81, 657) each finished in order behind Siena.

Brown used three birdies to jump 17 spots up into an 11-way tie for 33rd place individually with his 36-hole total of +7, 151 good for his best on the season and a stroke off his career high. Senior captains Jack Bellardini (+9, 153) and Jack Downey (+11, 155) put up +5, 77 and +4, 76 on the day, respectively to land in splits for 47th and 59th place. Rounding out the Saints five-man competition squad, sophomore Pudge Williams (+15, 159) and senior Tanner Donovan (+21, 164) finished in knots for 74th and 97th, respectively.

Competing as an individual, senior James Pelcher shot +8, 80 on the day to finish with +30, 173 in 110th place.

Following the team's second tournament of the Spring 2019 campaign, Siena will return to the Keystone State next weekend to take part in the Wildcat Invitational in Malvern, PA.
