LATHAM, NY – The Siena Saints men's tennis team faced a tough task on Friday night, as they faced off with the Colgate Raiders. The Saints win streak would fall, as they were defeated by the Raiders by a final score of 5-2.
 
"The men didn't seem to be as focused as last weekend," said head coach Jeff Osborn. "But, we will look to quickly get it back for the match tomorrow."
 
Junior Guillermo Lopez Torres and sophomore Tomas del Olmo were the stars of the day, as the pair won both in doubles and singles play. At #1 doubles, the duo would take a 6-4 win, but the Saints faltered in the second and third doubles to drop the point.
 
As play got into singles, del Olmo would take a win at the #2 spot by a final of 6-4, 6-4. Lopez Torres would follow up in the same spot by the same final, as each of them would sweep in straight sets.
 
The Saints return to action Saturday, Feb. 22 when they return to Tri-City to take on the Fordham Rams. Opening serve for the match will kick things off at 12:30 PM.
