STATEN ISLAND, NY– Siena Indoor Track continued its 2020 campaign by sending a select group of runners from both its men's & women's squad to compete at the UAlbany Winter Classic at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
The Saints saw runners compete in four total events, including the men's & women's one mile run and the men's & women's 3000-meter race.
Six members of the women's squad competed in the mile, with senior Carolyn Pellegrini placing second in her head and ninth overall with a time of 5:30.70. Juniors Monica Strain and Morgan Serkes followed behind, placing 14th and 21st, respectively.
Freshman Brandon Olden participated in the men's mile, taking 26th overall with a time of 4:28.08.
Women's senior Sydney Johnson (10:28.90) and junior Mia Forster (10:50.63) represented in the Green and Gold in the women's 3000-meter run, placing 24th and 35th, respectively.
Finally, Tommy Anderson finished 28th in the men's 3000-meter run with a time of 8:55.42.
Siena will send more runners to the Blue & Orange Invitational in Utica, NY on Saturday to close out the weekend.
