UTICA, NY– Siena Indoor Track rounded out a two-meet weekend by sending runners to compete at the Blue & Orange Invitational on the campus of Utica College Saturday.
Each team participated in two events, following select runners taking part in yesterday's UAlbany Winter Classic in Staten Island, NY.
The men were represented in the mile run by junior Chris Estremera. Who clocked a 4:39.37 to finish fifth in his heat and 18th overall.
The women were then represented in the 800-meter run by junior Olivia Durant (2:34.49) and sophomore Shannon Bergin (2:39.79), who placed 20th and 24th, respectively.
The squad also put three runners into the 3000-meter event, with junior Mary McNally (11:02.42) taking fifth, freshman Sydney Levison (11:37.46) placing 9th and sophomore Hannah Gallagher (12:12.94) finishing 26th.
The men's team then saw freshman Christopher Adamski (9:16.35) place 22nd in the 3000-meter, while junior Cole DiGiacomo took 30th (9:38.62) and junior Peter Wagner (10:08.09) placed 38th.
Following a weekend that took both teams across the Empire State, Siena will venture back to Boston University next weekend to compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational February 14-15.
