BOSTON, MA– Siena's Women's Indoor Track squad took down its second school record of the weekend, wrapping its 2020 season at the ECAC / IC4A Championships at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center in Massachusetts on Sunday.
One day after senior Carolyn Pellegrini broke her own mark in the women's 5000-meter run, the distance medley relay pairing of junior Morgan Serkes (3:41.45), junior Holly Bednarek (1:00.81), sophomore Julia Bryant (2:23.97) & sophomore Olivia Lomascolo (4:57.76) put together a time of 12:03.98 to finish 17th overall in the final heat. The mark erased the previous record set in 2018 (12:04.81) by Bednarek, current junior Regina Rosati, Jaimie Polanco & Sarah Forman.
Aside from the record-breaking relay, the Saints also featured an individual competitor on the men's side in Sunday's action. Freshman Aidan Gillooley ran in the men's 3000-meter final, placing 33rd with a time of 8:41.43.
