BOSTON, MA– Just two weeks after claiming a new indoor program record in the women's 5000-meter run, Siena Indoor Track Senior Carolyn Pellegrini used the ECAC / ICA Championship meet to further set the bar. The Senior did so as one of two Siena contingents to compete at day two of the weekend meet in Boston, Massachusetts.
Having previously set the mark at 17:15.82 during the 2020 MAAC Championships, Pellegrini ran a time of 17:13.73 to finish 12th overall in her first event at the meet in her collegiate career.
Aside from Pellegrini running as the only individual representative for the Saints, the men's distance medley relay team of junior Jacob Greski, junior Ryan Holland, freshman Ryan Famiglietti and freshman Matthew LaFramboise also competed. The group took 12th place in the men's DMR preliminaries with a time of 10:14.90. The women's 4x800 relay was also set to compete but was a last-minute scratch.
Siena will officially wrap its 2020 indoor track season with freshman Aidan Gillooley running in the men's 3000-meter at 12:35 PM & the women's DMR final 8 at 1:50 PM on Sunday, March 8 at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
