Siena Basketball Set For Showdown With Saint Peter's

Saints Look to Build Upon Unblemished Start

LOUDONVILLE, NY - The top-two teams in the MAAC from a year ago battle this weekend, when Siena Basketball hosts Saint Peter's Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. on campus at the Alumni Recreation Center. Friday night's game will be televised nationally on ESPNU, while Saturday's contest will air on ESPN3.

Due to current COVID-19 protocols, fans are not permitted to attend Siena home games at this time.

Fans can watch Friday night's nationally televised broadcast on ESPNU, which is available to Spectrum subscribers in the Capital Region on Channel 370, and can also be accessed on smartphones and tablets via the ESPN app, and on televisions through Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. ESPNU is also available on DirecTV Channel 208 and DISH Network Channel 141. Check your local listings for complete details. Robert Lee and Noah Savage have the call of the action Friday.

Saturday's game will be televised locally in the Capital Region on My4 Albany, which is available locally over the air on Channel 51, and is available to Spectrum subscribers in the Capital Region on Channel 4. Check your local listings for more information. Lee and Kelly O'Donnell have the call of the game, which is also available to watch on ESPN3 through ESPN's streaming platform.

Pregame coverage commences 30 minutes prior to tip-off both days locally on Talk1300 AM and 98.7 FM with A.J. Kanell and Conner Fenlon '12 on the call. Complimentary online audio of the broadcast can also be accessed by clicking the corresponding link at the top of the page.

Siena (6-0, 6-0) enters this weekend looking to make history. Winners of a Division I program record 16 straight, the Saints would set a new school record win streak with a victory in the series-opener Friday night. Siena also boasts the nation's eighth longest active home win streak also at 16 straight, and at 6-0 is off to the program's best start to a season in 35 years.

Meanwhile Saint Peter's (6-5, 3-3) is looking to get back on track following a nearly three-week COVID-19 shutdown. The Peacocks, who will be playing their sixth and seventh consecutive road games this weekend, last played Jan. 2 at Canisius.

The last team to have defeated the Saints on Feb. 2 of last year in Jersey City, Saint Peter's leads the all-time series 50-44. However, the home team has won 15 of the past 16 meetings between the programs, with Siena capturing seven of the previous eight matchups in the Capital Region.

Social media updates will be provided courtside throughout the series by following the Saints' official twitter page @SienaMBB. Join the conversation by using the hashtag #MarchOn. Upload pictures of yourself watching the game and cheering on the Saints remotely through the Selfiefinder platform by clicking the corresponding link at the top of the page, or by downloading the Selfiefinder app and searching "Siena." The best selfies will be tweeted out from the Siena Basketball twitter account at halftime.
